Penserra proudly celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage month, honoring the contributions and influence Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans have made to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States and are instrumental to its future success.
The theme of this year’s Heritage Month is “Advancing Leaders Through Innovation.” The 2024 theme is a continuation of the “Advancing Leaders” series that began in 2021 and focuses on leadership and engagement to advance the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. One of the reasons May was chosen for this celebration was to pay tribute to the first Japanese immigrants who came to the United States in May 1843.
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have a rich heritage thousand of years old and have both shaped the history of the United States and had their lives dramatically influenced by moments in its history.
