Position Summary:

The Fixed Income Group’s current business includes corporate bonds (secondary and new issue placement), Money Markets, CP/DN’s Agency securities (secondary and underwritten as FHLB an.d FNMA approved dealer), MBS, CMBS (agency and private label), Municipal (secondary trading), High Yield and Emerging Market. Individual and team applications welcome.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen existing relationships while maximizing revenue.
  • Create new client relationships.
  • Effectively use tools such as Bloomberg for analytics, research and communication.
  • Keep market-making traders abreast of the relevant issues with their clients.
  • Responsible for executing trading assignments and single security orders in accordance with agreed upon instructions from the firm.
  • Ability to create, maintain and unwind various hedging strategies using multiple methods alongside program trading assignments.
  • Take ownership for regional best execution responsibilities and ongoing counterparty execution quality and analysis.
  • Understand, comply and implement necessary regulatory responsibilities for portfolio execution.
  • Send trade confirms and assist with trade settlement for account.
  • Work with trading and compliance to create and maintain procedures and documentation for operations best practices.

The Opportunity

We are a diversified financial services firm providing global equity and fixed income trading, equity and debt capital markets, QTC tied hedge trading, ETF sub-advising, and global equity investment management to many of the nation’s largest institutions.

We are seeking an experienced Institutional Equity Sales professional to drive growth across our global program trading and algorithmic execution platform. This individual will be responsible for expanding our institutional footprint, with a particular focus on non-U.S. markets.

The role requires a sales professional who understands the trading workflow from the client’s perspective. The ideal candidate has significant exposure to the buy side and can engage investment managers in thoughtful discussions around execution strategy, market structure, and performance measurement.

You will play a direct role in revenue growth by building new relationships, strengthening existing ones, and positioning the firm as a trusted execution partner.

Sales Approach

  • Consultative: Engage clients with insight into execution strategy, liquidity sourcing, and performance outcomes.
  • Global: Support trading across non-U.S. markets with understanding of local venues and regulations.
  • Analytical: Use transaction cost analysis and market data to drive informed execution conversations.
  • Growth-Oriented: Execute a disciplined strategy for sourcing and converting new institutional relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a clear strategy for sourcing and converting new institutional clients.
  • Proactively solicit new relationships through calls, meetings, referrals, and industry engagement.
  • Drive growth in global program trading and algorithmic execution services, particularly in non-U.S. equity markets.
  • Engage clients in discussions regarding market structure, execution venues, liquidity dynamics, and trading strategy.
  • Utilize transaction cost analysis to evaluate execution performance and support data-driven client conversations.
  • Maintain and grow assigned accounts while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with trading, technology, and capital markets teams to deliver coordinated solutions.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and support RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence processes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 8+ years of experience in institutional equity sales, with meaningful exposure to buy-side trading environments.
  • Extensive experience working on or closely with the buy side.
  • Direct experience selling trading services for non-U.S. markets.
  • Strong understanding of equity market structure, execution venues, and algorithmic trading strategies.
  • Proficiency in transaction cost analysis and execution benchmarking.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a disciplined plan for originating and closing new institutional relationships.
  • Clear and confident communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and motivated to achieve measurable growth targets.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 required upon hire.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25 percent.
