In January 2021, Penserra CEO Jorge (George) Madrigal and the firm’s partnership created the Penserra Foundation, a nonprofit entity focused on working with communities and organizations to promote diversity, education, and the well-being of children. Proceeds from the Penserra Foundation will be directed toward championing our youth, funding scholarship programs, advocating for the rights of immigrants, encouraging the development of financial literacy, and efforts to eradicate homelessness in our local communities.
The Penserra Foundation is focused on promoting diversity, education, and the well-being of children.
Penserra has donated to a host of charitable organizations across the country since it was founded in 2007. The Penserra Foundation, as part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit platform, will provide an independent, philanthropic entity through which Penserra can consolidate its community nonprofit grants and eliminate any potential conflicts with the firm’s business dealings. Over time, the Foundation strives to implement an independent fundraising strategy to complement and expand previous contributions made by Penserra.
Penserra and its affiliate entities recognize the communities in which it operates as primary stakeholders in its success. In alignment with its mission, the Penserra Foundation provides necessary resources and support to organizations that resonate with the values of our firm.
